Conditions were very windy, which meant that on this long (480m) outdoor track there would be semi-road racing like conditions, which [...]

The Tasmania Chtistmas carnivals are a long-standing part of the bike racing calendar and also, of the strong culture surrounding cycling in Tasmania. In point of fact, yesterday’s racing at the Latrobe track was the 112th annual carnival.
We rode to the track from where we are staying in Devonport as a warmup and then got [...]
A Chistmas away from family and friends is not everyone’s idea of perfect. However my cycling family here all over in Tas have all pulled together to make a pretty much perfect Christmas away from home for all of us - tree, pressies, decorations, traditional lunch and all. Plenty of good carbs for tomorrow’s racing [...]
Welcome to my new blog. Here you will find much about cycling and a bit about life also. Please come again!
This weekend’s lineup was to be:
Fri: State Individual Pursuit Champs (track)
Sat: Ride for Youth Time Trial
Sun: Southern Districts Summer Crits # 3
The State IP champs were an event I had been looking forward to, as I know that I am fairly closely matched to my teammates Holly and Bec in this kind of event. However, [...]
