Today the terrain forecast was ‘hilly’ en route to Pemby. The day dawned clearish with some clouds off in the distance. With a full belly of breakfast we set off in the direction of the clouds and worked our way through some truly beautiful scenery through old treed forests.

Today was finally the first day of the Ride for Youth. All the training, and the endless fundraising would finally culminate in the beginning of the ride. Tofay’s bus ride down to Albany for the start of thr 2009 Hawaiian Ride for Youth went smoothly - no wheels fell off the bus (as did last year apparently).
After a quick ride to shake out the legs and an excellent dinner at Rustler’s steakhouse, I’m keen for the ride to start tomorrow.
